Santa Barbara Contemporary Arts Forum (CAF) reports that its 7th Annual Santa Barbara Million Dollar Home Raffle has raised nearly $1 million dollars in just over 1 month. Ticket buyers have the opportunity to win a brand new Santa Barbara home or the alternate prize of $1 million in cash. The 3 bedroom, mission tiled-roof home is a short walk to town, restaurants, galleries, shops and theatres.

Enter by March 9 and single ticket buyers will be eligible for over $60,000 in bonus prizes. Multi-ticket buyers will qualify to win $175,000 in cash and prizes including 2 new Prius Hybrids, three 1-week unique Santa Barbara luxury vacation home stays, Ojai Valley Inn and Spa escapes and cash. The Grand Prize will be awarded Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Alameda Park.

“We’re one of the few raffles in the state that has sold out each year and has awarded the grand prize as advertised,” stated Miki Garcia, Executive Director of CAF. “This year, our local focus has added important community partners who are providing prizes, resources and support. In turn, we are supporting their awareness and fund raising efforts.”

Among the local partners participating in the Santa Barbara Million Dollar Home Raffle are: Santa Barbara Downtown Association, Paseo Nuevo, Paradise Retreats, Ojai Valley Inn & Spa, and Village Properties’ Teacher’s Fund. “This is a fun way for us to raise money for our teachers and to draw attention to the important work they do every day,” commented Renee Grubb, Founder of the Teacher’s Fund. As partners with CAF, we receive a portion of every ticket we help sell and every penny we receive goes directly towards improving our local teacher’s ability to inspire our community’s school children.”

To purchase tickets, or for more information on the raffle, please call 805.884.5900 or visit www.sbcaf.org. Tickets are $150 each and only 19,000 tickets will be sold.
