What: The public is invited to attend a meeting of the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council (SAC). Highlights include updates and discussions on work to reduce whale ship strikes, ocean acidification, Channel Islands Argonauts, research and monitoring updates, oil spill exercise update, and working group announcements.

Who: The Sanctuary Advisory Council (twenty-one members representing the interests of commercial fishing, recreational fishing, non-consumptive recreation, tourism, business, research, education, conservation, Chumash community, public at-large, and ten government agencies), Superintendent Chris Mobley.
