Search Underway for Missing Man with Dementia

Officials Ask for Public's Help in Locating Him

Dennis Franks, a 73-year-old man suffering from dementia, has gone missing within two miles of his home near Embarcadero Canyon and Calle Real, the Sheriff’s Department reports. Multiple agencies began searching for him at around 7:30 p.m. last night, Wednesday, March 30.

Franks is 5’7” tall, weighs 186 pounds, and has gray hair. He may be wearing a green or gray sweatshirt with the word “Golf” written on the front, and a pair of blue jeans or dark pants. A man matching Franks’s description was seen at the Albertsons grocery store on Hollister Avenue Wednesday evening, but that person has not been located.
