There were some oversights in Nick Welsh’s article about fire retardant. To fail to mention that Californians, and more particularly children living in the fire regions of Southern California have the highest amounts of fire retardants (globally!) in their bodies seems negligent. Also to avoid pointing out the adverse effects those monumental drops of retardant have had on the local water system in light of almost zero research on the combined impact of those dyes, fertilizers, and emulsifiers after incineration seems journalistically naive. Southern Californians should think twice before bathing, showering, and drinking from their poisoned resources.
