Homeless Parolee Goes on Burglary Spree
Smashes Windows of Six Downtown Businesses Over Weekend
Homeless man and parolee Alfred Price, 33, was arrested on 6/14 for what police called “a series of window-smash burglary” incidents. Price is accused of taking a concrete water meter cover and hurling it through the front windows of six downtown businesses early Sunday morning between midnight and 5 a.m. The victim business were Bead Shoppe, 805 Deli, Kimberly Hairpieces and Wigs, Henning’s Cake Boutique, Sports Zone, and Metro Entertainment. While apparently looking for cash left in registers, Price—who was released from prison two days prior—only made off with $160 from the Bead Shoppe. He was arrested after an officer recognized him from surveillance footage.
