Towbes Group Signs Tenants to Leases in Goleta and Westlake Village

In the larger of the two transactions, Cynvenio Biosystems, Inc. signed a 12,000 square-foot lease at 2260 Townsgate Road, one of three buildings comprising the 79,000 square-foot Westlake Business Park, in Westlake Village. The lease includes expansion rights for an additional 4,000 square feet. Founded in 2006, Cynvenio Biosystems is a developer of high performance cell-sorting technology for biomedical research. Cynvenio, is relocating to Westlake Business Park from a smaller facility in Westlake Village to accommodate the firm’s rapid growth, according to CFO Paul Meyer who represented the firm in the transaction. Other tenants at Westlake Business Park include McGraw-Hill, Talent Lab, Westlake Davvar, and Game Design.

TrueVision Systems, Inc., a leader in digital 3D visualization and guidance for microsurgery, has signed a lease for 9,189 square feet at Santa Barbara Business Park in Goleta. The Towbes Group played an integral part in facilitating this transaction for the property owner. Built in 1985 Santa Barbara Business Park is comprised of six single-story buildings ranging in size from 15,000 to 43,000 square feet. The construction division of The Towbes Group performed all the tenant improvement work on behalf of the tenant. The Santa Barbara Business Park features 206,000 square feet of light industrial, R&D and flex office space. Other major tenants include Texas Instruments, Lockheed Martin, Cree, Integrated Procurement Technologies and Inogen.

Westlake Business Park and Santa Barbara Business Park are part of the 2.0 million square-foot portfolio of office, industrial and retail properties located throughout Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties, managed by the commercial properties division of the Towbes Group, Inc.
