UCSB Summer Day Camp
Press Release

During the school year, Mr. Robitaille is the physical education Director for K – 12th grade, head football coach, Lacrosse coach, and basketball coach for Laguna Blanca School. Nathan Carey, the owner of Twin Cups frozen yogurt, was a student and athlete at Laguna and was coached by Mr. Robitaille.

On Friday, July 1st, Coach Ray Robitaille and now graduate Nathan Carey teamed up again during the camp’s carnival. Twin Cups donated many different flavors of their one of a kind fresh frozen yogurt (it tastes just like ice cream) for all the campers. In addition, Twin Cups donated yogurt certificates for a camp raffle. The five lucky campers won free yogurts with their choice of custom fruit blends.

Per Nathan, “While at the carnival it was very apparent that every camper was having the time of their life outdoors, in the sun, participating in the many different activities. The campers weren’t the only ones who were smiling. The counselors were also having a ball and you could tell that they all loved what they were doing. The camp offers swimming, arts & crafts, gymnastics, kayaking, rock climbing, hockey, assorted field games, and much more.” It was pure fun just to be there myself, said Carey.

Twin Cups is now teaming up with the UCSB Summer Day Camp and sponsoring the Camper of the Week Award for the next five weeks. The Camper of the Week will receive a free yogurt of their choice at the Twin Cups drive up at 5329 Calle Real.

If you missed the last Carnival, there will be a final Carnival offering another Twin Cups custom blended yogurt treat on August 12th. The perfect healthy fresh snack on a warm day after camp!

Twin Cups is located at 5329 Calle Real. Visit us at www.twincups.com
