South Coast-Based Skin Care Marks 20th Year in Santa Barbara

Geneva de la Rouge is one of the first four professional Aestheticians in Santa Barbara and one of the few in Southern California who offers the treatments that she does with the energetic healing method called Phytobiodermie. She has an office at 3530 State St in Studio One Salon.

“I strive to bring ethics and credibility to the industry,” de la Rouge said. “I consider myself an educator.” She has taught pro bono advanced training to students at the Santa Barbara City College Cosmetology Department.

“I consider it a profession, not just a job,” de la Rouge said of her work. “I don’t do fluffy facials.” Her work includes treatments for acne and other skin conditions with organic products, and custom blended energetic oils.
