Judge Sustains City Opposition to Homes on Wheels Suit

Judge Donna Geck sustained the city’s opposition to three complaints alleged in a lawsuit filed by a group of motor vehicle dwellers known as Homes on Wheels, because no one filed a response to the city’s opposition on the group’s behalf. The judge is giving Homes on Wheels another shot at the suit, in which they allege that city ordinances banning or restricting RVs on Santa Barbara streets violate due process and disability laws. The city, in its response, said the suit didn’t give any specifics.
