Direct Relief Wins Major Award

Direct Relief International, a Santa Barbara-based nonprofit that provides medical supplies and equipment to disaster and poverty-stricken areas across the globe, has won the Peter F. Drucker Award for Nonprofit Innovation from the Drucker Institute of Claremont Graduate University. The $100,000 award, funded by The Coca-Cola Company, is given to existing nonprofits that implement “change that creates a new dimension of performance.”
