Caltrans has completed its Draft Environmental Impact Report for the Highway 101 lane expansion project between Bailard Avenue in Carpinteria and Sycamore Creek in Santa Barbara. The report can be reviewed by the public on the Caltrans Web site and at four locations on the South Coast: the Santa Barbara Central Library, the Carpinteria City Library, the Montecito Branch Library, and the Santa Barbara Eastside Library. Caltrans’ public meetings on the plan to add carpool lanes will be held at the Montecito Country Club on April 24 from 5-8:30 p.m. and at the Carpinteria High School Cafeteria on April 25, 5-8:30 p.m.
