Trespassing Charges Dismissed Against Vandenberg Protester

A panel of judges from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals dismissed three trespassing charges against longtime anti-Vandenberg Air Force Base peace protester Dennis Apel. He had been arrested while protesting on a county road outside the base gates. In dismissing the charges, the three judges cited a ruling from last year in which the Ninth Circuit found the federal government lacked the jurisdiction to arrest people protesting on a county road.
