Junior high school students have a new opportunity to participate in competitive sports thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Santa Barbara Police Activities League (PAL), the cities of Goleta and Santa Barbara, and the Santa Barbara Unified School District. PAL’s organized after-school sports leagues will begin scheduled games at Goleta Valley, La Colina, La Cumbre, and Santa Barbara junior high schools this week. The season starts with boys’ basketball and girls’ soccer. More information on the program is available at the Twelve35 Teen Center or by calling (805) 962-5560.
