David Propp Fondly Remembered By University Employer

Tue Nov 13, 2012 | 10:00am

A memorial service will be held for UCSB student David Propp this Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the UCSB’s Recreation Center.

Propp, a 21-year-old physics major from Missoula, Montana, was found dead last Friday morning at the bottom of the Isla Vista cliffs. Though his death is still being investigated, authorities believe he suffered fatal injuries after falling from the 30-foot bluffs.

Propp was actively involved in a university a cappella group and worked at the Rec Center, which recently issued this statement:

“David was a beloved member of our Rec Center family. He was someone that everyone could look up to and learn from. His happiness was infectious, and he brightened the day of everyone around him. He is sorely missed, fondly remembered, and dearly loved.”
