Mankind Project Santa Barbara helps men become the emotionally mature, accountable and compassionate male role models that our communities so desperately need.

In a culture that seems to be comfortable with mediocrity and passivity from men, The ManKind Project encourages men to stop living a vicarious adventure through their TV’s and step into a real-time adventure and win back their passion for life. MKP asks men to confront the real issues, to get 100% honest about who they are.

The ManKind Project offers the New Warrior Training Weekend (NWTA) where men discover and live their personal missions of service in the world. The next NWTA training in the Santa Barbara area is on April 5-7, 2013 in Templeton, CA.

Once men complete the NWTA, they have the option of joining a global network of peer-facilitated mentoring groups where men integrate and live the realizations they had on their initiation weekend.

A new father, Scott McGregor, credits his 3 years of involvement with the ManKind Project as opening the door for him in becoming a husband and father: “I was afraid I would make the mistakes my Dad made. This work has helped me face my fears and connect to my confidence. I’m really grateful.” Another appreciative member, Kevin Childerley, says: “MKP has changed my life. The support I have received has given my life new meaning. I no longer feel alone and that I have to do everything by myself.”
