Santa Barbara residents who live in the county’s 2nd Supervisorial District are encouraged to apply to serve on a few different boards and commissions that will soon have vacancies to fill. They are: the Advisory Board on Alcohol and Drug Problems, Human Services Commission, Mental Health Commission, and the county’s representation for the State Council on Developmental Disabilities. “Serving on a commission or board is an excellent opportunity to learn more about County government while also providing a vital service by advising the Board of Supervisors on important issues affecting our community,” said Supervisor Janet Wolf in a statement. Applications can be found at countyofsb.org.
