Community Group Asks Public to Find Solutions Pro-Youth Movement Has Created Action Committees
The Pro-Youth Movement (PYM) is asking the public: What do our youth need to make healthy, positive choices? We are asking families and teens to come forward and have their voices heard. Join an Action Group and be part of the solution.

The Pro-Youth participants have been meeting regularly since July and have formed several sub- committees. The Jobs Committee has identified job skills and job opportunities as key components to helping young people stay out of street life and be successful. PYM will collaborate with agencies and programs providing job readiness and job skills training, such as the Workforce Investment Board, yStrive, Freedom4Youth, Partners in Education, and ARRC.
PYM is continuing to survey families and teens as to their needs and their challenges. Our September meeting will break up into small groups and encourage participants to get active with our committees, which include:

Organizing volunteers to support programs already in place and connecting families to programming and services
Assessing needs and identifying holes in the safety net Support all efforts to empower youth to live positive, healthy and fulfilling lives
