Lock & Key Singles Party at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club

Lisa Darsonval of Santa Barbara Matchmaking www.santabarbaramatchmaking.com is sponsoring Santa Barbara’s fourth Lock and Key Singles Party on Sunday September 22, 2013 from noon to 3:00 p.m. at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club, 3300 Via Real in Carpinteria. This event follows a successful “Meet the Matchmaker” series where Darsonval attended a polo match once a month to answer questions about dating and lead fun ways for singles to meet one another.

The idea of Lock and Key is just as it sounds- women will receive a lock upon check-in and men will receive a key. By mingling with those of the opposite sex, participants will see if their hardware is a match. Once they’ve unlocked, they will turn in their lock and key to get new ones, another raffle ticket and then start all over. “Depending on how outgoing someone may be, they could find his of her first match within minutes,” Darsonval says.

Alison Hansen from the SB Polo & Racquet Club enjoyed hosting the last Lock and Key party so much, they decided to ask Darsonval to throw a second one at their club. The whole team at SBPRC cordially extends an invitation to “come enjoy watching a fast paced game with the ambience of entertaining field side, a half-time divot stomp, libations and of course, meeting new people.” Hansen adds, “This event is perfect to enjoy another gorgeous Sunday in paradise at Santa Barbara’s ‘best kept secret’!”

Similar events have been held in dozen of other US cities, bringing together 100 to 200 single professionals per event. The second Lock and Key event in Santa Barbara successfully sold out with double the attendance from the first event. Darsonval anticipated this would once again double and sell out in advance, and she was right- there were over 100 happy singles at the last event.
