Goleta McDonald’s Manager Given National Award
Omar 'Ramo' Santos One of 142 Managers Named out of 14,000 Restaurants
Omar “Ramo” Santos, general manager for the McDonald’s location at Camino Real Marketplace in Goleta, was awarded the company’s 2013 Ray Crock Award this week. The award, named for the McDonald’s founder, is given yearly to the top one percent of general managers from the 14,000 McDonald’s restaurants in the United States. Santos, along with only 142 other managers, will also receive a cash prize, trophy, ring, and a trip to Chicago for a gala hosted by McDonald’s U.S.A. president, Jeff Stratton. Santos’s recognition is due to his “unwavering commitment to excellence,” according to McDonald’s local owner/operator David Peterson. McDonald’s restaurants serve 26 million customers daily and offer 28 locations on the Central Coast.
