Press Briefing on Drought Conditions at Lake Cachuma Friday, February 14, at 12:00PM
WHAT: Santa Barbara County will hold a media briefing at Lake Cachuma on Friday, February 14, 2014, at 12:00PM to discuss the County’s response to current drought conditions.
WHO: Representatives from the County will include County CEO Mona Miyasato, Agricultural Commissioner Cathy Fisher, Fire Chief Michael Dyer, Office of Emergency Management Director Ryan Rockabrand, and Deputy Public Works Director Tom Fayram. Representatives from the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, the Central Coast Water Authority, and the Cachuma Operation and Maintenance Board (COMB) will also be available.

WHERE: Lake Cachuma Boat Launch Ramp.
From the North, from US 101 S, take exit 146 for CA-154 toward Zaca Station Road/Los Olivos/Cachuma Lake; turn left at CA-154/San Marcos Pass Road; turn left at Lake Cachuma entrance.
From Santa Barbara, merge onto US-101N, take State Street exit toward Cachuma Lake/CA-154; slight left at Calle Real; turn right at CA-154/San Marcos Pass Road; turn right at Lake Cachuma entrance.
WHY: Santa Barbara County is at Drought Impact Level D3 Extreme Drought, where Drought Impact Level D4 Exceptional Drought is the highest level. In this time of emergency drought conditions, the County wants to educate the public on what the County is doing to address the drought and what residents can do to help.
