Charles Donelan’s article debuting the Clark estate, Bellosguardo, redefines and enhances the meaning of “biting the hand that feeds you.” Grossly uninformative of anything except Mr. Donelan’s opinion, it contributed zero to the question of how the public might best use the bequeathed facility to promote the arts and the task of making that reality. Were it not for some photos included, I’d know little more about the estate than what I knew just gazing up the hill at it. The “analysis” analyzed nothing but broke new ground in ways of presenting previously hashed material by others as original thought.
