Man Arrested for Battery near Bus Depot

Santa Barbara Police officers arrested Eric Manzano, 28, Thursday afternoon outside the downtown transit center on an assault charge. Around 12:40 p.m., Manzano was allegedly engaged in a domestic disturbance with his girlfriend when a passerby intervened, reportedly prompting Manzano to attack him. Manzano — whose neck was inscribed with the phrases “fuck you” and “pay me” — was also arrested on a misdemeanor warrant.
