Authorities are searching for Orcutt resident Michelle Gibbs, 44, and her daughters, Gabriella, 6, and Cassidy, 4, as the three have been missing since February 26, when a custody hearing in Santa Barbara County Superior Court granted visitation rights to the girls’ father. Following the hearing, Gibbs and the girls went to Gibbs’s father’s Ojai house and haven’t been seen or heard from since, said Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Kelly Hoover.

A warrant has been issued for Gibbs’s arrest, Hoover said, and both she and the children have been entered into a national missing persons database. Gibbs, who doesn’t have a history of violence, was last seen driving a silver 2003 Ford Explorer, with a California license plate number of 5AXP219.

Anyone who sees the car is asked to call 911 immediately. Anyone with information can call the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division at 805-681-4150 or the anonymous tip line at 805-681-4171.
