Having been raised in Santa Barbara, I am compelled to voice a few critical questions. What the heck are leaders thinking by allowing more new buildings with the extreme drought conditions that exist in California? Where do they think the water is coming from? Not just the water it takes for construction but the water used by residents? Isn’t the whole scheme now to cut down on water usage?

I could go on and on with statistics they already know, but the bottom line is that nobody is minding the store. Or, they are looking through rose-colored glasses yet again? Builders and developers have the money, but they do not have water to waste on such senseless projects.
