I’d recognized the influence of Jenny Schatzle way before I attended one of her transformative workout sessions.
For several months, some of my closest friends were looking healthy and fit, with a bounce to their step and a more positive outlook on life. From Jill to Noel to Tracy, one after the other would tell me that the change was due to Jenny Schatzle. One day I saw a group running down De La Vina Street, shouting encouraging words to one another and high-fiving, as they headed toward Schatzle’s studio. Just like Alice, I decided it was time to follow the white rabbit.
Jenny herself is a force of nature. An enthusiastic ball of energy who’s equal parts prophet, health guru, and motivational speaker, her classes are challenging but oh so much fun! She peppers her workouts (no class follows the same routine) with personal anecdotes lifting everyone’s self-esteem. During the class, everybody welcomes newcomers and shouts your name. After my first 45 minute session, I felt exhilarated, motivated, and exhausted, but left feeling good about myself — and with a big hug from Jenny.
Here, Jenny answers the Proust Questionnaire.
