A free Medicare seminar takes place on Wednesday, January 20 at the downtown Central Library at 40 West Anapamu Street. Presented by Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP), the 10:30 a.m. talk includes a comprehensive introduction to Medicare for beneficiaries and caregivers, what the insurance plan covers, supplemental insurance, Part D prescription drug coverage, Medicare and employer group health plans, and retiree health plan considerations.

HICAP, which does not endorse insurance products and gives free counseling on Medicare issues, makes the presentation through the Central Coast Commission for Senior Citizens with a grant from the Center for Medicare.

For more information and to reserve a seat, contact HICAP at (800) 434-0222 or register online at CentralCoastSeniors.org.
