Joan Hartmann, candidate for Santa Barbara County 3rd District Supervisor, has already demonstrated her ability to represent the people’s best interests in our neighborhoods and communities. Joan understands the urgent county issues: dependable water supply/conservation, the need for better paying jobs, long-term viable agriculture, safe and adequate infrastructure and sustainable energy. She has worked to keep county government on a sound economic path and be accountable. She hears residents who want to live in planned communities and maintain the character of their neighborhoods . She understands that the rural nature of the 3rd District is an asset that enhances its economic vitality.

She analyzes and clearly explains the pros and cons of complicated and difficult matters. This benefits the public and aids in better decision making . She does her homework.
