Short-Term-Rental Regulations Drafted

Thu Jul 28, 2016 | 12:00am

A long-stewing, neighbor-against-neighbor debate returns to the Santa Barbara County Planning Commission on 8/3, as county staffers present to the public for the first time their draft regulations concerning short-term rentals. As directed late last year, staffers have updated zoning laws to ban short-term rentals (fewer than 31 days) in residential neighborhoods but allow them on ranches and farms. The meeting starts at 9 a.m. in the county’s administration building and will be streamed at countyofsb.org.
