Mother Linehan

Move over Mother Theresa, meet Mother Linehan. Mark Linehan had the nerve to expect some sort of quid pro quo, because of his past “from the heart” and “I’m a good-guy” monetary donations, that didn’t yield the dividend he had expected?

Before Linehan replaced the open space/baseball ball fields on Storke with the $1.50 hot dog, he angled the sales pitch to a constituency hungry for a city of their own, and eventually a fat tax base to boot. I hope Mr. Linehan revisits his temper tantrum, shoves his financial pacifier between his molars, and is appreciative with his monetary achievements thus far.

The last time I checked, you don’t in good conscience penalize a city for its actions, or lack of, because of a handful of politicians. And besides, I agree with their decision. The only way the current Glen Annie–Storke northbound off-ramp bumper-to-bumper congestion could get any longer would be another discount gas station.
