I wasn’t the least bit surprised when the president enacted “government work force training.” I’ve always said no one can dress a pork barrel better than a Republican, and this one’s wearing designer lipstick!

I had an experience last winter with Idaho’s workforce policies. Any recipient of social services must enter this program.

I entered the job market over 35 years ago and found the best way to land a job is the personal one-on-one experience with employers.

The corporation paid to act like an arm of the state’s Department of Labor sees it differently. It prefers the mass production of resumes along with seminars on food stamps; all done in a group.

They also work very closely with certain temp services that I use for employment.

I certainly didn’t like the idea of the state demanding I give info and contacts to those who will compete for those jobs.

That winter I found work as a labor foreman building a grocery store. None of the crew I used nor anyone employed when the store opened were recipients of training from the government. Those folks are still in the office, waiting for Trump to create jobs.
