A baby male Channel Island fox popped into the world at the Santa Barbara Zoo on 4/12, the first member of the threatened subspecies born at the zoo since 2002. Although the kit is being bottle-fed by zoo handlers rather than fed by its mother, zoo staff report that he is in good health.
