But come to think of it, breed rescue orgs supply those adopters who want only a specific breed. But putting out iffy dogs might diminish that part of the adopter pool as well.

Maybe the finite pool of adopters is actually reduced when dogs with issues become poor examples in public due to the efforts of rescue groups with issues. People wanting a puppy might generalize, & want to start fresh with a puppy from a breeder, instead.

Anyway, I was impressed with the screening at County Animal Services (Lompoc), and got a great dog as a result of their pragmatic and impartial approach. Thanks, County!

Yeah, she got through the cracks alright, in spite of many instances of extravagantly insane behavior in public.

Sounds like state water money would have been better spent in subsidizing xeriscaping. Well, here we are, wizened.

ACLU has sentimental roots in Soviet Union. Cheka, GPU, OGPU, NKVD, NKGB, MGB, KGB, ACLU! Really, though, they bear watching. Rather selective are they in protecting freedoms. Judge injunction on own merits, but watch ACLU!

For every thing, turn, turn, turn.... I had my pre-geriatric wake-up a coupla yrs ago when I fell off-trail and hit a projection mid-gluteus. A few inches in any direction would have been ruinous. Aging is a pain in the... ego! Wisdom whispereth "You're too old to be messin' with that." But then Ego steps up to the mic and says "Hell, boy, you ain't dead yet, are you?" Ouch. It's great to be lucky! Technology is only the proverbial pound of cure!

Actually, the outcome is sometimes worse when youth overestimates its abilities. But youth doesn't listen, and anyway, they're pretty resilient, besides being strong and agile. To heck with them!

Yeah, yeah... "The food is inedible, and the portions are much too small." Personally, I would feed them only oatmeal with raisins (but no sugar) for breakfast, chef''s salads for lunch, and baloney-iceberg-cheezoid sandwiches for dinner, EVERY DAY of the year. But only because I despair that without incentive they'll never embrace reform. (But really, though, what would it take to get frequent fliers to forsake their most honorable sociopathy?) Meanwhile, successful white folks yearn to be seen catering to anyone classifiable as a minority of a minority (i.e., the most definitive sort).

Having worked there, I thought that the schizo had targeted nice people, not people of color.
