Good tips, Lisa! But I'm a little surprised only DAWG is mentioned-- don't forget the County Shelter has two other fine volunteer organizations to care for cats and rabbits -- ASAP for cats, and BUNS for rabbits. ASAP, especially, has high expectations of adopters and tries to match families with just the right cat for them.

Please note: SB Animal Services does NOT charge the extra $30 for a microchip for cats-- ASAP (the all-volunteer organization which cares for the cats) provides a chip for every cat, *included* in the cost of adoption.

Last year's Certified Pre-Owned Cat event was FUN, and many adult cats found forever homes! This is especially important during "kitten season," when the little guys steal the spotlight :) We have SO many wonderful adult cats who deserve their own family (ASAP volunteer).

At least this time they want to put it IN Goleta. We can use the tax dollars, and it's WAY better than Walmart. Let SB shop in Goleta for a change! :)

Please define "area" as used by you!!:
"Residents in the area are asked to not move fruits, vegetables, or plant material off their property – except in green waste bins – for the time being."
So, is the "area" Goleta? Noleta? The entire county? We need to know. . .

Worse, "San Marcos obtained it’s present campus" is incorrect. IS (apostrophe) S means IT IS. IT, possessive is spelled its. The sentence fragment should read "San Marcos obtained its present campus"
it's = IT IS (contraction)
its = belonging to IT (possessive)

Lawsuit is patently ridiculous. If the end of the world IS coming Saturday, nothing Schneider can do will stop it.
If it isn't? Then there's no point to the lawsuit. Schneider, quit wasting our time!
Camping's teaching used to (past tense!) conform to the Bible. He's lost it somehow. Jesus himself said he didn't know the day or the hour of the end; so how can arrogant man know?

It's not about the radiation so much as the _interference_with _other_devices: WiFi, baby monitors, TV (yes, even cable), garage door openers-- you name it. The SF Bay area has had smart meter rollouts for some time now, and they are *hated* by those who have them.
