I am so very sorry for your loss of Rita. For some unexplained reason, when I woke this morning, I had a silent message to find Rita, my friend, mentor and moral compass for our years together in Visalia. As a fresh faced VISTA Volunteer from Boston, I had a lot to learn. Rita and George gave me the support and encouragement to fight the battles for the left out and left behind...the poor Chicanos in Tulare County. We have lost a compassionate spouse, Mom and friend. Rita remains my everlasting star and continues to inspire my life's work as an instrument of peace and love.

Dear Solinas Family:
I am so very sorry for your loss of Rita. For some unexplained reason, when I woke this morning, I had a silent message to find Rita, my friend, mentor and moral compass for our years together in Visalia. As a fresh faced VISTA Volunteer from Boston, I had a lot to learn. Rita and George gave me the support and encouragement to fight the battles for the left out and left behind...the poor Chicanos in Tulare County. We have lost a compassionate spouse, Mom and friend. Rita remains my everlasting star and continues to inspire my life's work as an instrument of peace and love.
Viva Rita and Viva La Causa!
