There was a time the federal government and the United States Congress recognized Iraq, Saddam Hussein in particular, as having amassed weapons of mass distruction. The US will believe anything accompanied by a campaign donation. Doesn't mean it did or didn't occur. The whole business of politics is unethical today.

another subsidized industry that makes us sicker than pot:
junk food. Let them and the animals they eat feast on corn. Cheaper, faster, more profit for a few people (corporations).

Some academics are stuck in a bubble, or faking it. Gives a bad name for the real fact finders who are easy to spot too.

If one ever spots Mr.C in SB, the appropriate welcome would be a big round of applause accompanied by listing his accomplishments. Hopefully those witness to such a rare sighting would participate in the noise, but isn't the guy on his 3rd heart or something? Probably doesn't make it out much or for much longer...

Apparently some don't understand working minimum wage and trying to feed yourself, let alone a child. But there is plenty for the war machine/effort (corporations) and not enough for those who did the service. Yes it's political, but it's all of them, as the article states at the end.

Unfortunately, the USA hates money so much that the government gives it away to the most wealthy people (read: corporations) in the form of subsidies and tax loopholes. The wealthiest of these people are oil companies. Also, there is a natural seep of oil in the ocean here. We learned in school here that the Chumash (original locals) used it to seal their canoes. Apparently, the people drilling the oil out of the ground haven't figured out how to tap the seep or clean up their own mess (who knows, they might even contribute to the seeping). It appears that when one is too busy counting or spending money, they get too lazy to be creative or clean up after themselves.

Sounds like there is room for a 3rd party to come up and take someone's place. Good cop, bad cop, you're still going to jail America.

Crazy: detaining Bradley Manning because he put troops in harms way for leaking classified info.
Crazier: Putting troops into harms way in Iraq by lying to the public to create support for war.
Craziest: Belief in fairy tales and fiction by majority of congress, senate and president.
