Valentine’s Vow
Decrying a “disappointingly negative” race for 2nd District
Supervisor and attacks on his supporters, City Councilmember and
supervisorial candidate Das Williams vowed to engage in “civil
dialogue” about the contentious issues affecting the 2nd District.
Flanked by Mayor Marty Blum and council colleagues Roger Horton and
Grant House, Williams addressed a sparse gathering of supporters at
the Courthouse on Tuesday, distributing Valentine’s candy and a
“Clean Campaign Pledge,” in which he promised to remain focused on
issues and refrain from the kind of personal criticism that he said
has been directed at him during his political career.
