Cold Weather Shelters

You think you’re cold? Clued-in poster “Concerned Citizen” suggests we post a link to cold weather shelters provided by the County for any fellow citizens without a warm place to stay. We love his/her charitable instincts, and appreciate the County’s efforts and the ongoing relief these organizations provide.

Here are the extra available hot spots:

Westside Community Center, 423 W. Victoria St., Santa Barbara

Lompoc High School (Cafeteria), 515 W. College St., Lompoc

Minami Center, 600 W. Enos St, Santa Maria

The shelters will be open from 6 p.m. to 10 a.m., Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 12-15, when the cold weather is expected to end.
