UCSB continues to bring notable speakers from all corners of
academia and politics — for free! This Tuesday, February 6 at 8
p.m. at Campbell Hall, Martin Sherwin, whose book American
Prometheus about atom bomb creator Robert Oppenheimer won the 2006
Pulitzer, chats with UCSB’s Tsuyoshi Hasegawa, an expert on
Japanese involvement in World War II. Wednesday, February 7 — same
time and place — Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas Solórzano, founder of Mexico’s
Party of the Democratic Revolution and a three-time presidential
candidate, discusses the 2006 election and Mexican politics.
