Dwight Reynolds, professor of Arabic language and literature at
UCSB’s department of religious studies, will present “The Silk
Road: How Products and Ideas From the East Reshaped Western
Civilization,” Thursday February 22 at 5:30 p.m. in the Karpeles
Manuscript Library at 21 W. Anapamu Street. Professor Reynolds will
explore some of the ideas and products from the dynamic network and
trade routes of the Silk Road which most dramatically changed
Western thought and Civilization. The lecture is part of the
special series event Exploring
the Silk Road: History, Culture and Social Exchange
conjunction with the Silk Road Project Residency at UCSB.
