There Once Was a Girl from Nantucket: Angela
Morelli recently moved from Nantucket, Massachusetts, site of Crush
Cosmetics’ only other store, to Santa Barbara, to open one for us.
And lucky us! Located at 1229 State Street, Crush’s clean design,
quality products, and expert staff make it a must-stop shop for all
things beauty. Crush carries skincare products, fragrances, and
makeup, and focuses on boutique brands from all over the world,
many of which are exclusive to the store. Every person on staff is
trained on every line Crush carries, and each spends several hours
a week answering questions posted on the web site. If you’ve ever
wondered how to make your eyes look bigger, brighten your
complexion, or deal with your dry skin, these workers can help. And
every Thursday, Crush hosts a Pink Party; from 4 to 6 p.m., Crush
offers complimentary skincare consultations, as well as
appointment-only, pay-to-play makeup lessons, mother/daughter
makeovers, and the ¹/₂-hour Chick Fix — a makeup application
that’ll have you looking glam for a special night out. The best
part is the cost for these little indulgences gets applied to any
products you’re compelled to purchase for your own beauty arsenal.
