The Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History is seeking volunteers for its new exhibit, Grossology: The (Impolite) Science of the Human Body. And impolite it certainly can be: The exhibition is an extension of the best-selling book Grossology, written by science teacher Sylvia Branzei, which explains to children how and why their bodies produce, and we quote, “mushy, oozy, crusty, scaly, stinky things that many people think are gross.” Those 13 years of age and older with a curiosity about all that is gross and interested in training and volunteering for this exhibit, are asked to please contact Elaine Kaufmann at ekaufmann@sbnature2.org or 682-4711 x107 for info. You’ll never look at boogers the same way again.
