After six months of operation, State Street’s Open Wide Modern World Furniture & Rugs will close its doors – though allegedly not for financial reasons. Its owner, Tony Abrahim, has stated that he is moving to Afghanistan to help found the country’s first business school. Abrahim is holding a liquidation sale throughout the summer. A portion of the proceeds will benefit needy students in Kabul.
