Santa Barbara attorneys representing those molested by Franciscan friars will argue in Los Angeles this week in favor of the Franciscan order releasing personnel files of living pedophile priests. The Franciscans have so far agreed to release the files of dead priests accused of pedophilia. Litigation surrounding child molestation has cost the Franciscans millions in Santa Barbara, particularly from abuse taking place at St. Anthony’s Seminary, which closed in 1984.
