Molestation Suspect Identified, Arrested

Leobardo Alatorre, 38, of Goleta was arrested on 6/27 after police received reports of an 8-year-old girl being molested in Girsh Park. Deputies responded to a call from the family of the girl, who said that a man approached her while she was riding her bike, then led her to a secluded area, kissing her on the mouth and putting his hand under her shorts. The girl’s father and brother were playing basketball at a nearby court during the incident. Alatorre was arrested on charges of kidnapping, lewd acts upon a child, and public intoxication.
