Police Standoff Ends Peacefully

Daniel Ortiz, 22, was arrested on 6/28 after a nearly three-hour standoff with police. Ortiz, a known gang member, was holed up in his father’s house until about 4:45 p.m., when he was arrested for violating probation after allegedly committing acts of assault and vandalism. The standoff caused temporary street closures around the 300 block of South Soledad Street
