Mammoth Skeleton May Come to SB Natural History Museum

The Moorpark City Council is currently deciding whether or not to donate a nearly million-year-old mammoth skeleton to the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History. The creature’s remains were discovered in 2005 during the construction of a housing development near downtown Moorpark. Assistant City Manager Hugh Riley presumes the gift will be approved by the council.
