Radio Station Wins Six Golden Mike Awards

KCLU, a National Public Radio station broadcasting in Santa Barbara (102.3 FM) and Ventura from its base at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, won six Golden Mike awards from the Radio and Television News Association of Southern California on 1/27, dominating the contest for the seventh year straight. News director and former KEYT reporter Lance Orozco received five of those prizes, which were all for the best stories in their category, sharing sixth with journalists John Palminteri and Jim Rondeau.
