The 6/10 meeting of the Goleta Water Board had attendees clamoring for a moratorium on all new annexations, water connections, and meters in light of Governor Arnold SchwarzenÂ-egger’s declaration of a statewide drought until Goleta’s water resources could be assured. The board also asked for a 30-day extension to consider UCSB’s water usage under the terms of its Long-Range Development Plan. (/gwb619)
