In the Canon Perdido Street space once occupied by Jimmy’s Oriental Gardens-which closed two years ago-a new, high-end food market is scheduled to open within weeks. Grapevine Fine Food Market, which will aim to fill gourmet, international, and to-go restaurant niches, will occupy the restaurant half of the building -located in what was once Santa Barbara’s Chinatown-while an Asian heritage museum may be built in the bar half of the building.
