Somehow it’s only fitting that one of the few establishments in town with bistro in its name is uniting two of the favorite things in France: food and films. Pierre Lafond Bistro (516 State St., 962-1455) is offering a free movie pass with any dinner entree, Sunday through Wednesday night only, through the month of October. The pass is good at all Metropolitan Theatres screenings in town prior to 6 p.m. and for non-special engagement movies after 6, and the pass is good until December 21. [This just in: The pass has been extended to June 2009!!!] The offer’s only good if you make a reservation, but why not try Chef Nathan Heil’s farm fresh food, since much of the bistro’s produce comes from an organically farmed plot on the Lafond Winery property in the Sta. Rita Hills? Okay, you probably don’t want to chow down after Saw V, but there are plenty of other films out there :
